Artist Location: Pitsea

Artist Bio

After studying Fashion Journalism in London, Amy’s experience led her to photography, inspired by her love of analogue film.  Ryall works on documentary, portrait and fashion projects. She’s from Corringham in Essex, but often visited her dad, who lives in Pitsea, Essex, whilst she was studying in London. Amy works with fashion labels and fashion magazines such as Violet, producing portrait photography. She is interested in documenting people and the stories they tell from having their photograph taken.

  • Amy has worked in conjunction with Creative Basildon as Pitsea’s ‘Artist in residence’.

Immersing herself and her camera within the community in an attempt to capture the essence of

Pitsea and the people that call it home. ‘Pics’ Island’ is a free zine project for those people, telling a story of life in the borough.

  • Portrait photography for Violet Magazine, self portrait exhibited at the Free Range Photo Festival at Truman Brewery in early 2023.
